Thanks for sharing this, Logan.

I really resonated with this. I’ve been an anxious person my entire life, it’s just my personality at this point. But, like you, I desperately do not want to pass that on to my children. I work really hard to be present in the moment and to be (mostly) unphased by hiccups in the day. It’s hard work but we’re trying, and that means everything 💖

Thank you for taking the time to read my post Amy! 🤎

And that’s all that matters is that we are trying. 🥹🫶🏼

Wow, I really related to this❤️ ! Especially as an eldest daughter, I’ve always felt this pressure and anxiety to be perfect and to have everything together. So much of what you wrote felt like you were putting words to things I’ve felt but haven’t always known how to explain. Thank you for being so vulnerable and sharing this. It’s comforting to know I’m not alone in some of these feelings. 🤍

Thank you Leah for taking the time to read this 🤎 I am also the eldest! And feel exactly the same to be “perfect and have it all together” I put a lot of pressure on myself! 🤎

Logan, this was so beautifully written! Anxiety can be necessary in certain times of our lives to protect us but also harmful in others. I love that you’re able to distinguish between the two when it comes to motherhood🤍.

Sending you so much love and a deep breath. I’m sorry it’s been so troubling. I can totally relate. I think postpartum can really turn the dial up too. Always here if you want to talk. 🤍

Thank you Natalie for taking the time to read 🤎

And yes, postpartum definitely made mine worse!

Such an honest post. I've lived every line of this Logan. Not "relate to" literally lived. I'm in the same fight with the same anxiety, still trying to get out from under it. So I want to shout out for you and tell your kids will see what you're doing here and will love you and be proud of you immensely. Always.

This means more to me than you know. 🤍 Thank you for reminding me that I’m not alone in this.

Sending you so much love in your fight too. 🌿

My anxiety made a huge appearance the moment I got pregnant. I have described it like my brain just cant exit it’s worry central. It is exhausting. Much love and hugs ❤️

Felt! My anxiety got 10X worse once I became pregnant with my first!

Have you found anything that helps?

Thank you for reading, my friend 🌿🤎

Logan, the line about worrying as proof of attention captures how vigilance came to feel like responsibility in your life. Your letter honors the little girl who learned to stay ready while allowing the mother you are now to reconsider how much authority that old alarm should carry in the present. Thank you for giving self-compassion a form that can appreciate what once helped and still make room for a more present life with your children.

Such a great post. I'm actually quite new to anxiety, in that I didn't have it until I had my son, then a terrible pregnancy and sick child made me have terrible anxiety.

I had physical symptoms, including a rash that wouldn't go away and I started grinding my teeth at night. I had therapy and took sertraline for a year. It's better than it was.

Love people talking about it openly 💜

Thank you so much for sharing this. 🤍

It’s amazing how much pregnancy, postpartum, and walking through hard seasons with our children can change us.

I’m so glad to hear it’s gotten better for you. 🫶🏼🌿

Thank you Logan🙏🏼 There is real courage in recognizing that the part of us that once kept watch may no longer need to lead every moment. You did not shame the little girl who learned to survive through readiness. You thanked her, then gave the woman and mother you are now permission to choose presence differently. That is not a small change. It is a quiet breaking of an old inheritance, one honest breath at a time. Thank you for trusting us with this. 🤍

Logan, you are crushing as a mother!!! I say this because I was raised by a very anxious father and it caused me so much stress and anxiety (of course). I feel for him, he was also raised by an even more anxious mother, just like she was raised by an anxious mother. But it broke parts of me and I still deal with the consequences. It is sooooo hard to break that pattern. And here you are, doing it for your kids. Congratulations! We know that’s not an easy task but you were the one that said “no more”. Your kids are lucky ❤️

You are not alone in this journey🤍 For the first time in my life I am not chewing my nails yet I feel more anxious than ever! It’s crazy how anxiety grows and transforms with us.

Logan, I can relate so much to this. I’ve never not known anxiety. Like you, I couldn’t name it when I was young. Thank you for sharing 🫶🏻
