Good luck to all of you! What a wonderful opportunity for your family! I hope this works out exactly how you want it to.
In my experience with the universe intuition usually comes from a place of calm knowing and the nervous system responds with fear and anxiety to keep you safe and in familiarity. ❤️
I’m rooting for you! I hope everything works out the way you guys want.
I’m sorry about your mother in law… maybe she was just worried but that was unnecessary.
From my experience: moving with toddlers is hard and being far from the family is hard - not only because of their support but because sometimes it’s nice to just have a cup of coffee and talk with your mom, right? BUT it’s also an incredible opportunity. It’s a good opportunity for your husband and a dream of yours. It’s an opportunity for you to grow together and face the challenges together, as a family. Things can be hard and amazing, difficult and beautiful.
Bruna, your experience gives Logan a grounded picture of change: distance can make ordinary comforts, like coffee with her mother, feel newly precious even while the move opens room for growth. You also hold the practical strain of relocating with toddlers alongside the possibility that a shared challenge can deepen a family’s trust in one another. That balance offers encouragement without pretending the transition will be easy or allowing fear to decide the future. Grateful for the generosity with which you gave her both companionship and perspective.
The other day my four year old screamed bloody murder for the first time when I went to leave for a breast scan. She hollered “don’t leave”. Never done anything like this before. I thought for sure I was going to get into a car accident or something and that my four year-old was psychic.
I arrived home safely … so all is well. But I absolutely spent way too much time like 🤨.
I’m excited for this potential new chapter!! I look forward to when you post saying he was offered the job!
Demi, your daughter’s sudden “don’t leave” before your breast scan shows how quickly love can turn an unfamiliar moment into a warning when fear is already close to the surface. Even after you arrived home safely, part of the mind still wanted to treat her reaction as prophecy, which mirrors Logan’s instinct to read the canceled flight as a sign. Your excitement for the possible job offer then returns the exchange to hope while fully honoring how real that anxious pause felt. Grateful for the vulnerability and warmth with which you let Logan know she is understood and supported.
I’m excited to hear how this all works out for you guys! Mixed signals are so hard to interpret when you’re already trying to figure out what the next step is for your lives, but I’m confident that the answer will become clear in time💗I hope the interview goes well!
You will end up exactly where you’re meant to be! (And I really believe saying yes to terrifying opportunities is so good for growth! If he gets this job, it will be a challenge, but you will grow in so many unexpected ways.) San Diego is also AMAZING and I would move there in a heartbeat. 😂💕💕💕
Logan, the canceled flight becomes a mirror for how urgently you want certainty before life asks your family to move. Your essay holds fear, hope, family pressure, and the ache of feeling stagnant inside the same morning, then lets trust carry what certainty cannot. The line about your best friend leaving gives the opportunity its emotional weight: this is a career decision, a family decision, and a test of how much change your marriage is willing to hold together. Grateful for the honesty with which you showed that courage can still arrive with tears, chest pressure, and unanswered questions.

You will find your way and children are incredibly resilient so they will be good throughout the transition if you indeed end up having one.
Thank you Caroline, I appreciate you taking the time to read my post. And leave such an inspiring comment 🫶🏼🫶🏼
I’m going through a move myself at the moment, and so I’m repeating back to myself what I need to hear.
That is so smart!! Are you excited for this move ?
It’s so exciting! Baby is definitely getting use to the transition but I can tell she’s excited too.
Can’t wait to hear more! Hope it is a smooth transition 🩷
Remember that when change is on the brink sometimes the doubts get stronger! But, it works out how it’s meant to work out! I relate to all of this. 🌻
Oh I love this perspective Kacie! Thank you for sharing 🫶🏼
