You are so flipping capable!!! I'm glad you said it!! because you absolutely are. Solo parenting tough on its own, add twin babies to the toddler and damn! Besides yes there are adults there but sometimes I can feel like that can go the opposite way too like extra pressure because people are watching and listening lol!

but you are wonderful and amazing!! i hope you take yourself out alone for a massage or something!!

p.s how many days left?

Demi! Thank you for reading!

It definitely has been interesting with my parents. Because while I’m doing my thing, trying to get my toddler ready for bed my mom is giving her a cookie. 🤦🏼‍♀️ and 5 more days… can I do this

Demi, your point about nearby adults creating pressure even when they are available to help adds an important layer to the experience. Support can coexist with the feeling of being observed, especially when every cry, stair trip, and difficult moment seems audible. I also appreciate how you paired fierce affirmation with a reminder that her own body deserves care after carrying everyone else through these days. Your question about how many days remain keeps the encouragement grounded in the actual countdown she is living.

You absolutely CAN do it, and your babies are so lucky to have you!! I hope your family finds success from the job hunt, regardless of where it takes you. My husband lost his job back in April of 2024, and it was very stressful, but looking back, I can confidently say that everything worked out the way it was supposed to. Plus, my husband is much happier now working somewhere that has a good work environment and values his efforts!

Thank you Megan, I too am hopeful that what is meant for us will find us!! ☺️

I’m glad your husband found a job that makes him much happier, because that changes everything!

You’re amazing! And also hope hubby finds a dream job. I used to live in SD (before hubs and kid) - miss it every day 😅

Thank you! And I do too!

No way? What part of SD? Would you ever move back?☺️

I was in a few different places: first sleeping on a couch at my sisters in La Jolla (lol) then OB then Kensington. Oh I would move back today if I could.

Logan, what comes through so clearly here is not only the labor of these five days, but the quiet reintroduction to your own capacity. You did not romanticize the exhaustion, the stairs, the bottles, the wake-ups, or the competing needs; you told the truth about the weight of it, which is exactly why your pride feels so earned. The image that stays with me is that morning moment with all three children gathered on you at once, because it reads like more than tenderness; it feels like confirmation that love has already been teaching you what you are capable of carrying. Thank you for naming the hard and the beautiful together, and for honoring this stretch not as survival alone, but as proof that you can trust the mother you are becoming.
